Navy is one of those colours that can just do no wrong and nautical themes are so cute for dressing up in summer. I think of navy as a neutral – matching other colours with navy works really well, and it is a great base colour that works well with lots of skin tones. As I mentioned in a previous post I love stripes so naturally I am in love with nautically inspired clothing. My navy pinstripe shorts are a much loved item in my wardrobe and I feel like I should be out spending the day boating or something when I wear them, especially if espadrilles are involved.
When it’s warm outside, the easiest and best outfits are the ones we can just throw on and feel comfortable in. I’m a big fan of composing simple, fuss free outfits and sometimes I even make it a game to dress as minimally as possible (it’s harder than it sounds). That being said, I tend to neglect accessories and this is something I need to work on. Accessories can seriously take outfits to the next level – whether dressing up or down they just transform clothes.
Here I have tried to accessorise my relaxed daytime summer outfit. I enjoy clashing bright colours, so I tried to incorporate some of that into the styling.
