Pleats Please

This outfit is one of my favourites. I love colour and I love stripes, so this is just a match made in heaven!

I’m wearing:

  • skirt from Sportsgirl
  • blouse from Pilgrim Clothing
  • shoes from Jigsaw

Pleated skirts are so much fun to wear and instantly liven things up. The entire time I was wearing this skirt, I just wanted to do ballerina twirls and show off the movement and floatiness of the fabric. The colours are quite fruity and bold so I thought it would be best to balance the outfit with a white/cream tie front blouse. In the past I have worn the skirt with a plain navy tank top and it worked really nicely too.

And, of course, you can’t go wrong with a white blouse. The one I chose is very summery and light, with a fun tie detail to add some interest. I decided to leave it un-tucked mainly due to the tie situation, but also because the elastic waistband on the skirt is a little bit unattractive.

Perfect for traipsing around, or going to work, this outfit encapsulates the lightness and brightness of summer.

  1. Hello Emma

Do you offer in home assistance? Work out outfits with clothes in my wardrobe? Or maybe personal stylist shopping consult?

    Thank you
